Create a Vintage Look With Vintage Movie Posters. Have you ever wanted to add a vintage feel to the decor in your home or office but weren't quite sure how to pull it off?

Start off by finding furnishings to recreate the look of decades past by shopping at antiques and consignment stores, thrift shops and checking online at sites like Craigslist and eBay. If you want new stuff, but an old look, stores like Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel tend to offer furnishings with a vintage feel that recalls the 50s, 60s and 70s.

But to pull it all together with a truly vintage vibe takes just the right "touches," like art on the walls. Now, I'm the first to admit that committing to wall art is the hardest part about decorating because, not only can you wind up with walls as holey as Swiss cheese, but art pieces can really ring up the cha-ching!

That's where vintage movie posters come in. A quick search on the Web will bring up at least a half-dozen legitimate sites where you can find a treasure trove of movie posters from the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s-whatever decade you want to evoke in your decor.

And they're surprisingly inexpensive, as long as you're willing to settle for a reprint, and not the original. At one online shop, I found a movie poster for the Rita Hayworth movie, "Gilda," for $15.

For a few more bucks, you can buy a simple do-it-yourself frame kit at a frame shop or art supply store, and voila, you have vintage-looking art for your vintage-looking room.

Go to Mr. Vintage Movie Posters to get vintage movie posters for very low prices. Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Frank_Denarles
